Cupping

How It Works

"Cupping uses a cup to pull an area of skin into a suction that decompresses muscles and connective tissue. This promotes blood flow to the compromised area, enhances circulation and helps to increase the body's own healing processes — almost like a backward deep tissue massage." HenryFord.com

Cupping is a wonderful way to enhance your massage experience and receive even longer lasting benefits. It helps loosen up superficial muscles by pulling on the the muscles, making a deep tissue massage afterwards (recommend 2 days later) more effective. Cupping "marks" are normal after a session and can appear to look like bruises, however typically are not painful.
